Made in Picardy: the obvious choice

The history of Easy to Compost (formerly Caeterra) is deeply rooted in Picardy. Paul and Gautier, our two co-founders, met at UTC in Compiègne, where they studied mechanical engineering. It was here that their vision for a sustainable solution for bio-waste was born. Two years after graduating, they launched Caeterra, starting modestly: the first composters were assembled in their garage before moving to a workshop in Albert, in the heart of the Somme region.

Why Picardy?

The decision to manufacture in Picardy was a natural one. Not only did Paul and Gautier study in the region, but they were also able to draw on a rich local talent pool. The region is home to many experts in metal and wood furniture construction, a major asset for designing high-quality composters.

Made in Picardy stronger than Made in France

Our suppliers are located within a 150 km radius of our workshop in Albert. This proximity guarantees responsiveness, exemplary reliability and a controlled ecological footprint. Each composter is carefully designed, combining quality materials and unique expertise.

Exceptional quality: Our composters feature anti-rodent systems, a European-patented mixing column and optimal odour management.
Social impact: More than just an ecological initiative, our project has a genuine social ambition. We work with partners committed to social reintegration and, through composting, help raise awareness of environmental issues.
