Paris, 4 March 2025
Easy to Compost, formerly Caeterra, today announced its name change, marking a new stage in its development as a provider of turnkey solutions for food waste management for businesses and local authorities.
The start-up has been supported by Strike, ranked second best agency in France according to the Hits d’Or ranking by CB News.
Democratising composting
The new Easy to Compost brand perfectly reflects the mission of the Picardy-based start-up: to simplify and democratise access to composting for everyone.
The company, founded by two engineers (Paul Marchisio and Gautier Forgerit), is transforming composting into an accessible and effective practice, thanks in particular to a new-generation composter, designed according to low-tech principles and entirely handmade in Albert, Picardy. Among the features of this composter are an aeration column and an anti-rodent system.
New Identity, New Services
Easy to Compost now offers comprehensive solutions with Compost & Collect, a regular compost bin collection service, and Compost & Care, a local compost maintenance and spreading service provided by specialist companies. These services are already available at several hundred sites in France and will soon be rolled out across Europe in various sectors, including retail, hospitality, local authorities and businesses.
Strategic partnerships
The young Picardy-based company, which celebrated its second anniversary in November, has already established solid partnerships with innovative companies such as TGW Greenwishes, Lemon Tri, Les Alchimistes, Hector and Easytri, enabling national coverage and future expansion.
Vision for the Future
The start-up has chosen to position itself in the composting sector to bring it back into fashion and meet the needs of businesses.
Composting is the most environmentally friendly way to treat food waste, as it allows:
- enriching the soil and local agriculture
- avoiding greenhouse gas emissions during the incineration of waste composed of 80% water
- and reducing the number of trucks collecting waste by a factor of 5, since recycling is carried out on site
Thanks to low-tech innovations, the company has made this ancient process more accessible and efficient.
